Shopping Centers of General Santos City

General Santos City may be a midsize city, but amazingly, several shopping centers and malls dot along its main streets and boulevards. No doubt, Generals pretty have a great time shopping in these places. So what and where are these malls? Here are some of the largest and most popular commercial centers in General Santos City.

KCC Mall is currently the leading shopping center in Gensan.  It is located at J. Catolico Sr. Avenue, Lagao. KCC is complete with everything you want – grocery, hardware, electronics, clothes and personal effects, food and fine dining, pets, beauty treatments, and a lot more. The mall boasts of having more than three hundred different shops and establishments.

Some of the best facilities in the mall are the walkalators, cinemas, and convention center. They also give away card privileges like KCC Bonus Card and KCC Kanegosyo Club. On top of everything, they reach out to the community through various programs like the recent Cotabato City Relief Operation.

Since KCC is in downtown, it can easily be reached via jeepneys, multi-cabs, busses, tricycles and taxis.

Not far from KCC Mall is Robinsons Place Gensan. Just established in 2009,Robinsons Place Gensan is a two-storey commercial complex and currently the largest mall of Robinsons Land Corporation in Mindanao. It houses over 150 classy and popular shops.

One of the best attractions in Robinsons is the Al Fresco dining amenities which showcase special dishes from prominent restaurants. Every night, Generals get to enjoy fine dining with beautiful music and live bands. Another great feature of Robinsons is its Movieworld which contains four state-of-the-art cinemas including one 3D cinema.

Since it is strategically located along the National Highway, Robinsons Place has become an excellent stopover of tourists and visitors entering General Santos City.

Just a tricycle ride from both KCC Mall and Robinsons Place is the grand Gaisano Mall of Gensan. Gaisano is one of the largest shopping mall chains in the Philippines, and in General Santos City, it is the pioneering mall as it saw the commercial and industrial rise of the city. Hence, Gaisano Mall is not just a shopping place but it is also a symbol of General Santos City's economic stability.

A little farther from these three big malls is the humble Fitmart Gensan. Located at Pendatun Avenue, Fitmart is easily accessible via tricycles and jeepneys. It has a department store, grocery store, bakeshop and several specialty stores. What is amazing is that just alongside Fitmart is RD Plaza where lovers and strollers can enjoy light snacks and heavy shopping. Incidentally, Pendatun Avenue is also lined with a number of establishments including hotel and fastfoods.
