One of the most important parts of the Licensure Examination for Agricultural Engineers is the Philippine Agricultural Engineering Standards (PAES). The Standards contain detailed specifications and information on various agricultural equipment, materials and services applicable to Philippine setting.
Contents in the Standards are divided into four general broad areas of classification, specifically Production Machinery, Postharvest Machinery, Engineering Materials, and Agricultural Structures. Every year, as more equipment are being tested and sampled, the Standards continue to be developed. Presently, it has eight volumes.
Students in many universities and schools in the country are encouraged to familiarize the Standards as they are integral to both curricular requirements and the licensure examination. Professional agricultural engineers in both government and private sectors must also comply with the requirements contained in the Standards.
The Philippine Agricultural Engineering Standards are not readily available to everyone, maybe except for some universities. To help in the dissemination of the Philippine Agricultural Engineering Standards (or PAES), here are the links to the eight volumes:
