The trip must have been long… The roads rocky and steep… The wind is cold… But what awaited us on Seven Falls was something more magnificent than we hoped for.
So we reached the top of the climb. We paid the entrance fee and the first thing we looked for was the falls. And just few walks, we found one of the amazing falls – one of the largest I think.
After enjoying the scenery, we walked a little further on and found the first zipline. Excitedly, we paid the Php250 fee and prepared. The crew “dressed” us and after some talks, we flew through the entire length of the line. It was exhilarating. There were forests around us, with several falls sticking out of the greenery from here to there. Below us, the great river cheered for us. It was very wonderful. After some time, we reached the end.
Then we hurried to the second zipline. It was another leg, to another falls down below. Funny that the line swayed when we were midway. That gave me creeps for a while.
After which, we looked for more falls. Again, we were not disappointed.
But the experience would not be complete without taking a dip on the cold water. Hurriedly, we stripped and waded on the river near a falls. Such a refreshing feeling!
After the dip, we dressed again and bought our souvenirs. We lingered a while and enjoyed the wonderful experience.
Exhausted but happy, we then decided to head home. It was late afternoon and the place was not blessed with so much lighting. So filled with great memories, I rode again the same road I travelled earlier in the day.
Since we were going down the slopes, the ride had been much faster and easier for me. Most of the way, I simply let my motorcycle roll freely. It was a beautiful ride as the orange sunset slowly faded on my side mirror.
It had been a long and unforgettable day. And I had just started my year!
