The day had been exhausting and fun for me as we in the College of Agriculture celebrated our Yearend Party. It is our yearly tradition to celebrate the bounty of the pass year and the coming Christmas season, as well as our goodbye to 2011.
It rained hard the entire morning so it was near noon when I arrived at the office. To my surprise, a demonstration by a certain chemical engineer/ beautician was already going on. The product was a kind of Clay applied to the face which supposedly could tighten the skin and even out skin tone, making users look ten years younger. :-)
Around noon, the feast started and we filled in our stomachs. There was too much food and drinks.
After the food, music!
Our colleagues in the faculty are mostly in the upper age brackets and so the vigorous games were really challenging to them. Why challenging? Can you play relay by pushing a tomato using an eggplant hanging below your waist with only your bended knees doing the efforts?
How about playing Trip to Jerusalem with a twist – “girls” racing to grip the eggplants on the “boys”?

After the games, more music! The College is really a huge avid lover of music.
Then the most awaited part came – Exchange Gifts. One by one, we presented our gifts and everyone was truly excited with who was behind the pseudonyms.
After which, more and more music! Well, the music was well beyond my catalogue. Some oldies classics. LOL! The top music which had been played several times would be:
1 – Diana by Paul Anka
2 – Ten Guitars by Engelbert Humperdinck
3 – Butsikik by Yoyoy Villame
Later, with our packs bursting with gifts, one by one, we left the office.
Here are the gifts and prices I received!
Happy holidays!!!
