Why Study at Mindanao Polytechnic College


Mindanao Polytechnic College (MPC) is General Santos City’s premiere school for nautical and marine engineering courses. Its campus is located at the junction of the National Highway and the Makar-Koronadal Road.

The school was founded in 1980 by Capt. Arturo A. Aguilar, M.M.  and became the only maritime school in the SOCSKSARGEN area. Since then, MPC gained greater prominence each year as more institutions accredited the school such as the Philippine Association of Maritime Institutions (PAMI), Philippine Association of Private Technical Institutions (PAPTI), and especially the prestigious Norway, Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

The Vision of the school is to be a premier co - educational institution in Southern Philippines which aims to imbue its academic community with the values of integrity, honesty, transparency and intellectual excellence. They also offer TESDA accredited courses like Computer Hardware Servicing NC-II, Commercial Cooking (Maritime-Based), Medical Transcription, Call Center Services, Culinary Arts, and Programming.
