Today is Christmas day! Amazingly, I woke up around 11:46 this morning, with a grumbling stomach, an aching head, and a mouth reeking of last night’s food and booze. I rushed out of bed, freshened up myself and took my first meal for the day.
In the afternoon, I watched some cartoons and then 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. My goodness, Angels roam the earth. And where is Rosie? Wish to see her. LOL!
Later, some relatives and friends went over to share Christmas with us. We planned to visit father’s grave this afternoon but the guests prevented us. LOL! Maybe we would just do that tomorrow or some other day this week.
It is wonderful that some people stopped over our house. They remind me of the others who could not be with us this Christmas day. For one, my oldest sister is working in Dubai right now, spending a cold Christmas in the urban desert. Plus several friends scattered across the globe – UK, Germany, the rest of Europe, Canada, USA, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, the rest of Asia, and the rest of the world. And loved ones too who chose to leave and pursue a more fortunate life abroad.
They might be spending a white Christmas, frolicking with a real snow man and dashing through a snow-frosted neighborhood. Or maybe not white, a green one over lush meadows and hills, wide farms and gardens. Or grey, working on the offices or hospitals in nations where there is no Christmas. Or blue, busy on a passenger or cargo ship as the chilly waters rock them.
Whatever the color of their Christmas, may the spirit of Christmas fill their hearts with joy, love and hope.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
