Continued from Motorcycle Ride to Maasim (Part I)...
Once again, we hit the road and headed for Lemlunay Resort. We
travelled for at least thirty minutes, relishing the magnificent sites along
the way, especially the seaside and cliff views. Finally, we arrived at the
resort and deep in our hearts, we expected something new and fun to experience.
It was few minutes past one and the sun was blazing hot. We simply
toured around and took shots of the beautiful place.
Lemlunay Resort is located on the edge of the Tinoto Reef,
above a cliff in view of the breathe-taking Sarangani Bay and Sulawesi Sea. Some
of the amenities offered by Lemlunay are camping grounds, fully-airconditioned
rooms, open cottages, convention hall and conference hall.
I particularly love their warm and pristine infinity pool. From
a certain angle, the pool seems to connect with the vast sea ahead. We did not
dip in the waters yet, just later.
By around three in the afternoon, we finally decided to experience
sailing with their Hobie Cat. There were still three groups who had prior
reservations. Finally by around four, the last group arrived and we instantly
geared up and boarded to the colorful Hobie Cat.
It is sad we could not take along our camera to the sea for
the sites from there are more overwhelming. The huge waves were also constantly
caressing us and the smell and blue of the sea was refreshing. After an hour,
we head back to the cliff. But nah, we stayed on the water and dipped around. We
planned for snorkeling, but the waves and current were strong that we guessed
the view beneath the water would not be all that good. So we just swam around
for a half hour with the other people.
We then headed back to the infinity pool and enjoyed the
fading afternoon.
After some time, we dressed up and departed from Lemlunay. It
was such an exhilarating experience, especially sailing with the strong wind
and wave. That experience came inexpensive. The entrance fee which was
consumable was only P100.00 (around $2.40). We did not take a room since we
were not staying for the night. Room costs few a thousand. The Hobie Cat was
worth P1,500 ($35.70) for an hour sailing. Their snorkeling equipment costs a
few hundreds. For the bolder ones, they offer diving experience.
From the Lemlunay Resort, we went back to General Santos
City for around thirty minutes. It was already night so we had a heavy dinner
at one of the fast foods in KCC Mall. We planned for movie watching but we were
too exhausted for another activity. So we called it a night and headed home.
We were out for only a day, but the experience and fun was
really great and endless. Looking forward to more trips!
