1st Mindanaonon Environment Summit



Another activity to be undertaken by EarthSoul Solutions, Inc for the upcoming Earth Day celebration is the 1st Mindanaonon Environment Summit. It will be held at NCCC Convention Center, Maa, Davao City on April 20-22, 2012, right after the Green Caravan (April 17-19).

The theme of the summit is “Nurturing Mother Earth thru grass-root environmental protection and organic farming”. From it, participants will (a) listen to experts on climate change, other environmental issues and organic agriculture, (b) learn from best practices in environmental protection and organic agriculture from others, (c) on-the-spot painting contest for elementary and high school students, (d) trade fair on organic products and farm equipment, (e) awards for outstanding performance in environmental protection and organic agriculture by LGU and individual person, (f) propose to government realistic actions to make, to adapt to, mitigate and/or prevent the adverse impact of climate change, and (g) formulate a Mindanaonon environment protocol to guide government, business, communities and individuals in protecting the environment.
