Isla Jardin del Mar

Isla Jardin del Mar is presently one of the top beach resorts and tourist destination in Sarangani Province. This kilometer-long pinkish-pebbled white sand beach is situated in Glan which is dubbed as the “Boracay of the South”.

Isla Jardin del Mar Resort covers 34 hectares, with a 750-m long beachfront. This is simply perfect for a romantic walk with hands holding or a long sweet chase. Or just a lone walk while reflecting on life and nature. The beach is dotted with a number of cottages made from local materials like bamboo. The feel of the bamboo cottages fit in very nicely with the beautiful landscape. Also, just few walks from the entrance is a native style bar/restaurant. The place promotes a relaxing environment so the use of Karaoke and other noisy musical equipment is banned.

Aside from the beach, a lagoon area, fishpond and other activities such as mountain treks and jetski will soon be made available. Already, several golf carts and ATVs (all terrain vehicles) are for hire.

Isla Jardin del Mar Resort, along with Isla Parilla and Sydney Hotel, is owned by fishing magnate, Marfin Tan.

The biggest drawback to visiting Isla Jardin del Mar is the kilometers ride of winding and twisting road. It is thrilling but at the same time very scary. The ride can put anyone into an adrenaline rush. But beware, just be careful enough to prevent any untoward incident.

Despite the road, Isla Jardin del Mar is truly a great place to visit this holiday season.
